There was not enough memory available to complete the scanner tests. One way to gain more memory, if you are running the application version of the scanning utility, is to adjust the application memory size in the Finder. Refer to your Macintosh reference manual for more information on this procedure.
Another way is to quit the scanning utility and start it again, executing scanner tests immediately, i.e., do not perform any scanning operations first.
